My tolerance for heat must really be increasing.  I was working my arse off in Liberty today which included hiking up and down a steep slope in full sunshine and I thought it only felt like low to mid 80s.  In reality it hit 93 at Blewett Pass today.  Maybe it was the low humidity that made it feel so tolerable.

Also...I noticed the Chikamin Peak snow finger was still barely there today.  Pretty impressive considering the low snowpack the season began with.

The random rumble of thunder on top of a thick marine layer is such a uniquely PNW thing. I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t even realize there were thunderstorms up there.

My girlfriend is home and says there’s a thunderstorm rolling through there. Just some light rain here in issaquah so far. Looks like a pretty good amount of lighting so far in Tacoma

The GFS almost always underdoes the cooling so there is hope.  I hope this autumn isn't like 1988.  I loved the winter of 1988-89, but that autumn was awful.

2024 came in merely tied with 2015 for 5th place behind 2023, 2022, 2021, and 2014.

There were enough legit cool days last month to take hottest off the table thank goodness.

Even anti man caused global warming scientists acknowledge it is getting warmer.  It has happened many times in the past and then it gets cooler again.

Cooler please. Yesterday was decent. Upper 70s and a little muggy but not terrible. Perfect this morning with light rain and low 50s.

The warming is especially sharp and directly in correlation with increased co2 in the air.
