Boy howdy....The jet boat run I did was when I was a marine deputy, we had 3 jet boats ranging from 19 to 23 ft, all with small block V8s.  We usually had 2 boats out 5-6 days a week, and had to put 40-70 gallons per day per boat.  We were the big dogs on the river, except one day when a guy from Alaska showed up at the ramp with his twin v8 jet boat (25-27ft long).  It was a forward helm, full windscreen/hardtop set up.  Can't even imagine what his fuel bill looked like.

I think if I ever got into the power boat scene, I would probably follow in @MossMan footsteps and go the jet ski route.  Fuel bill would be a little easier on the wallet!

Yeah easy on gas, and you can really explore the shorelines and get to places that is harder with a boat. Love my jetski but also love my boat!
Like Matt…I’m a bit tight with the money so my main goal in life is to spend as little as possible on the water toys but still have nice and reliable machines. My 30yr old boat with a simple outboard (these old Mercury outboard 2 strokes are bullet proof) and very low maintenance. Drinks more than your uncle Mike though. This boat was seemingly very well taken care of its entire life. Picked it up for under $10k 3 years ago and have only put in $300 in repairs which includes swapping out the cassette deck radio for a modern one with Bluetooth.
With the jetski my 22yr old Polaris that I’ve had since new that was as reliable as reliable gets until about 3 years ago where the deteriorating fuel lines along with a head base gasket leak made me park it since I didn’t have time to repair it. Still otherwise in pristine condition though.
Then about 2yrs ago a co worker of mine said she was going to sell her 20yr old Honda that was just spending its life in their climate controlled garage since they never had time to use it so I picked it up for $4k. Only had 50 hours on it and runs like brand new…And because it’s a Honda.
A similar boat of mine new would be around $90k and a similar jetski to mine new would be around $20k.

Things begin growing in the spring, as the weather warms and sunlight increases. The growth continues through the summer. Things die and go dormant in the fall, as the weather gets cooler and sunlight decreases. College football has reached its fall season. It's dying. Honestly, it hasn't been the same since the BCS was instituted in 1998.

I don’t know if it’s dying but it’s not nearly as interesting to me anymore.

I think college football is better than ever personally. I think schools like UW who took money to become a 7-5 school will suck for them. Honestly, football will be a lot more relevant for other schools like Wazzu and conferences like the BIG12 now without a perennial power. Go Bucks

LETS GO COUGS. Left for dead by UW last year and whoop some as*s this year. Hope UW enjoys being 7-5 every year in the Big Ten!!

Go Cougs! You guys and us Beav fans are united together now, a shared passion of hating all 10 former pac12 teams. Screw those traitors!

A Douglas squirrel.  They are native where the Eastern Grey squirrel is not.  Had a 63/56 day with .82" in the bucket for a total of .91" for the month.

I'm having a thunderstorm come through. The lightning strike doesn't show up on the lightning detector so it must of been cloud to cloud.

I must have heard the same thunder rumble. I didn’t see any lightning so it must have been high in the clouds

Talk about things evening out.  The rain simply won't stop here now.  Around an inch for last night through right now.  Even had some thunder earlier.
