51F with some light showers at times but the kiddos all seem to be having a good time. Sent them to the nice neighborhoods for the full-size stuff.

I’ve been rooting for rain for weeks.  Tonight, not so much.   Never dress up for Halloween.   This year we made our own handmade felted wizard hats and dressed up.   Complete fail.   We usually have a bunch of kids.  Tonight, one ☝️

Anyway here’s a couple of pics.
The leaves are my kitchen view right now even if it means a bunch of work down the road.

Note the leftover candy 🍭

Gorgeous evening out here trick-or-treating with my daughter.    Still dry... no wind... pleasant temp.    Not even looking at radar.   Don't want to know.   And we will be done in 30 minutes anyways.

We're getting some kind of 500' snow level sloppy teaser in mid to late November, where a few of us get like 3" and the rest see wet flakes in the air, and then 1st week of December we're getting a historic, regional Arctic Blast. I GUARANTEE IT

Streets were packed in Si View neighborhood of North Bend... as usual.   Line of kids at most doors and the people go so overboard there with decorations.   We just got home.   Not one raindrop on us the entire time but it started raining a little driving home.   Perfect!

Here is the 00Z HRRR. It's still looks very wet tomorrow and the winds looks a little stronger. I'm a little surprised I haven't seen anything on the NWS about it being windy. Looks like things will start early in the morning.

Do people drive to your neighborhood?  There are some neighborhoods out here that are clearly the designated hot spots.   We have been going to the same neighborhood in NB since 2003.   Guessing this might be our last year since my daughter is already pushing the age boundary.

We’re getting POUNDED here.

Three of the big Costco bags may not be enough.

Same here out in the burbs. Actually the most trick-or-treaters I’ve ever seen even with the weather.

Impressive how some places are still so into Halloween while others aren't at all.  This neighborhood is kind of in between.  The rain tonight pretty well spoiled it though.

There are just no kids here. Plus no sidewalks and no streetlights. Probably explains the dearth of trick or treaters.

I think a lot of families drive to certain neighborhoods that have good sidewalks and lighting. It seems to be all or nothing depending on where you live.

Tim just give up on politics till after the election.   It’s pointless at this stage.  Just be zen.
