My area had snow cover Feb 10th to April 3rd in 2019. I'll never see snow like that again here.

Pretty remarkable to have snow cover through early April at that elevation.

Its not super rare to have snow cover last 30-40 days here but it will often melt out in the sunny areas which our yard is, while a shady area might have a solid 4-6” left.  In 2008-9 we had snow in shady areas from mid December until mid March.  2016-17 was similar, with some areas holding onto snow cover from early December until mid March.

Colder than 1950 by a fair margin.  I think SEA had an average low of 19 that month which is insane enough.

The only thing keeping that frame somewhat hanging on by a thread of reality is the axis of that temp anomaly is far west of the divide. Would love to see how the CFS handled evolution  and what is supporting it down stream.

Don’t worry bud, his ban starts at Midnight and soon he will no longer be able to offend you with his misuse of a long range NWP model designed more for trend analysis than seeing how many meters of snow Victoria will get.

Cherry picking individual CFS runs and taking them at 100% face value down to the pixel is a better dopamine hit than anything you can get on 3rd avenue and you all know it

NDJF could be cold.

When was the last time we had a winter that was filled with events front to back? 1645? 40,000 BC?

2022-23 we were getting teased with marginal snow events on all the models from mid October through the end of April. Almost none of that materialized in the city but it was at least a partially exciting winter from start to finish...
