Coming up on 1pm and it still doesn't look like the clouds will break anytime soon. Full on overcast. 64F at the airport. Gunning for a 15F undershoot compared to the GFS!

Sun is breaking out here now.    Low cloud area shrinking from all sides now but looks like Seattle will be last place to clear.

O the snow, the beautiful snow!
Filling the sky and the earth below!
Over the house-tops, over the street,
Over the heads of the people you meet,
Dancing, Flirting, Skimming along.
Beautiful snow! it can do nothing wrong.

Sun is out at SEA... is it enough to avoid another disastrous sub-70 day?   Everywhere else has popped easily into the 70s as soon as the sun comes out.   But SEA goes up like 1 degree.   😀

Looks like your area will be the last to clear.   Ocean Shores is way more sunny than your area.  :(

Close up shows smoke from Bear Gulch fire moving NE this afternoon and might be preventing low clouds in that area from clearing by blocking some of the sun and seeding the clouds with particulate matter.   Not sure.  Just a thought.

Today was supposed to be sunny with a thicker marine layer tomorrow.

Cloud seeding and weather manipulation has been a hot topic lately. Do you ever bring your boat out to the east side of the Cascades? Maybe not Tri-Cities, but Chelan at least is a good option.

I think it’s a serious issue that only an environmental services supervisor probably could answer, probably one from Oregon who divides his time between his three families in three states. It’ll be hard getting a response from him though as when he isn’t working on his side gig during company time, he is usually on Facebook extolling the virtues of something most of us would find reprehensible.

It's going to make 13 year since the last record arctic ice melt.. pretty impressive in exponential global warming.

Can't imagine much sea ice has melted in Greenland this summer...

We've had blips of warmth on the Pacific side of the Artic circle, but the overall Summer pattern since 2013 is holding..

Tomorrow looks like a marine layer day, beginning with a deck of clouds while high cloudcover increases from the west throughout the day. Similar deal Monday.

Looks like a 72/58 for today's date. -3.5F anomaly
