October 2022 was epically warm and dry and the following winter was my snowiest ever in the lowlands.

Then you can go to October of 2016 which was the wettest on record for many places, and was historically epic for snow the following winter in many places. One example, see Portland January 10 2017.

As far as this side of the mountains, bear winter of my life.

Anything can happen but that type of winter happens about 1 in 25 years here. 16-17 and 92-93 are the best winters of the last 50 here I believe.

Time to slap the winters on the Griswold family truckster. Leaving for the B.C. interior on the 9th for CDN Thanksgiving. The 12Z Euro moved the timing up on that trough. The kids would love to see it snow on the Coqu & the Connector. So would I.

Hmm… I would have gone with the Antarctic blue super sports wagon with the CB radio and optional rally fun pack.

Had .05 last night. Since 3pm today was at .10 and raining steadily as of 8pm. Might end fire season here in SE WA though the rain 2-3 weeks ago had it on life support. Hasn't been a bad fire season in my corner though.

Interesting split in the models next week. Could be quite warm for October potentially, or the rains could return.

12z Euro ensemble. Looks like a ridging episode is likely next week, though surface temps are uncertain. Scrambled eggs thereafter
