Let’s just hope Mother Nature holds off on the good stuff til about Thanksgiving or later. No border-hugger South valley BSF shitt would be nice so the airmass can realistically dig further south.

Its rained on 10 of the last 12 days.   I don't think the air or ground was dirty before this rain.

Found out today that my rain gauge has been faulty recording low numbers compared to surrounding gauges. Not sure how long that’s been an issue, but my yearly numbers are a question now. Nearby stations at 0.65 to 0.7”, very wet for my area. I have now “faked” my daily results close to that.

got .42" yesterday, and had .96" since midnight when I woke up at 6 this morning.  Currently at 1.11" since midnight and 1.53" for this system.  It was very windy up here during trick or treating, I have no idea how many kids were out, never really been a fan of the holiday so we stopped handing out candy when the kids outgrew trick or treating.

I have to occasionally poke around in the bowl of my gauge. Get whatever crusties out of it. Usually once a year

That’s what I did today. I usually compare to nearby gauges once a month, so I don’t think it has been wrong long. It was clearly off this morning though only 0.15” and I had standing water everywhere.

1.4 storm total so far and finished October at 7.30.

I’ve made it nine and a half hours into my first ever No Jim November. We’ll see how far I can make it…

Got up early before the storm to take down the Halloween stuff and replace with our Thanksgiving decor. November and Thanksgiving are my favorite month and holiday!

.31 here for the month of October. Very dry even for here. Could’ve been worse tho, October of ‘22 was summer like. Would be nice to have an old school winter over here like we used to have.
