Thick altostratus clouds this morning.

Orcutt is at 11.46" for the water year and only about 2 inches from clinching the seasonal average. I don't mind drying out for 2 weeks. At 1.81" for the month as well.

  This reminds me of my grandpa. He ran the cable TV co-op in town for about 50 years until he died in January 2011 (right around the time the models went to sh*t). Whenever it would SNOW the cable would go on the fritz and he’d grab me to go on the hill with him to clean off the dishes. He’d always start telling stories of what I’m sure were Januaries ‘50 and ‘69. RIP

  Almost halfway through August and SEA is running exactly normal, after a slightly below average July. Two 90+ days since 6/15, and just five days since 6/24 warmer than 85. 2020 was the last summer that managed something along those lines...but then it hit 98 on 8/16.
