June 2026 was slightly above average overall surprisingly, it didn't felt like it at all. June 2015 was a couple degrees warmer than this June

If you think its been bad here, Barrow, AK is an absolute abomination with highs in the 30s and wintery mix in the forecast.

Weather forecast is looking better now with average to above average temps. Finally summer weather by Santa Maria standards is finally showing up!

The marine layer is back to its normal shallow level and its already burning off. Also seeing suptropical high clouds moving in from the south.

Only 60 today in Sweden with all day rain. Some California winter storms are warmer than that. Marine layer would feel warm now. 

Tomorrow is supposed to be similar and after that sunny with low 70s.

Today the high dropped to 68F at KSMX, despite the earlier clearing this morning.

Foggy this morning, the marine layer hasn't been this shallow for weeks!

High was 69F again at KSMX, another cooler than expected forecast, but starting tomorrow the warm up should finally begin with highs in the mid 70s to low to mid 80s next week with monsoonal moisture.

Most days are in the low 70s here, but it's different than California where low 70s would mean a very deep marine layer this time of year. Days usually start out sunny and the sun feels hotter here than it does in California.
