Popular Post Chewbacca Defense Posted February 1 Popular Post Posted February 1 We had the funeral today, several folks chose not to come because of the weather (mostly 70+ year old southerners who have no business being out driving in the snow anyway). I should note, my mom loved cold spells and snow. It flurried most of the day, we had the main service inside then had what was probably the quickest gravesite commitment ceremony in history. it was about 24 degrees blowing 20-30, gusting to 50. Just brutal…The funeral home had employees just stand there holding the various flower arrangements. Right as the ceremony started, it turned into an absolute snow globe. It was really friggin cool to see, especially given my mom’s love of the snow. My sister decided to drive home to Charleston right after the service, and the last I heard, she was doing 10mph on the freeway. Looks like Charleston got nuked and they had to close the airport. North side of Atlanta got hit hard too, my cousin made it home, only sliding around a little bit after she got off the freeway. super dry here like a frasier outflow, and I forgot chapstick….go figure, the one time I actually need it. Looking forward to getting back to the “warm”, humid PNW 17 Quote Britton Rd Bellingham Weather Station: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KWABELLI103?cm_ven=localwx_pwsdash
