Iowa States Daryl Herzmann made this graph about this record drought. Its based on the data from OTM.

OTM just 4.36" since Aug 15th thats the driest such period ever back to 1905.

My data was  the 6th driest with 6.40"

Just .08" since Jan 9th

Lets hope for a very wet spring!

Yeah, this kind of pattern with the cold vs warm boundary too N to S doesn't produce a good storm pattern for the middle of the country. It's amazing there was a couple of decent storms at all tbh.
