There are some 6-7" reports in eastern Lake county and Porter county.

Would add that the snow has largely shifted out of the areas where those reports came from, so can only imagine what it would be like now if the band had stalled out longer.

Hasn't been submitted to NWS yet, but already hearing reports of double digits near Chesterton, IN.  Still ripping there.

After barely getting a dusting yesterday, over here it's puking snow for about 20 seconds then flurries then back to puking snow.  Been doing that for about an hour or two now. Would be awesome if it started banding better as it looks like I am located in the perfect spot right now

I just looked at the radar loop and its showing these really fascinating and odd looking circular donuts on radar!  I'm glad to see there is more of a NE Flow which I was hoping would transpire a couple days ago.

That's the magnet I turned on! Haha

They certainly have been fascinating to watch. Dont recall ever seeing anything like that at this consistent duration. Looks like it may be breaking up that pattern now, maybe start of a little plume? Guess we will see shortly if that's the case.

Highest report out of the LOT cwa is 11.0" around Chesterton.  Haven't seen any new reports from eastern Lake county IN, but based on the reports from late last night and some additional snow that moved through this morning, I'm figuring there were some 8"+ amounts in the far eastern part of the county.

If it would've snowed for even another hour or two in Porter county, they would've been farther into double digits as that band last night was definitely dumping 2"+ per hour rates.  Could've really been a huge event with a longer stall.  At least somebody got double digits.  These kind of LES amounts are not super rare for Porter county... I would guess it's like a one in 2-3 year occurrence there or something like that.  They had an event that produced 24-30" about 10-15 years ago.
