We'll see some more tornado reports added once they do the surveys.  Based on what I'm seeing, there was likely a tornado that at least made it into western Bloomington.  May have continued beyond that to the IU campus but it's possible that damage was straight line wind.

...Sloppy Wintry Mix/Wet Snow into This Afternoon...

An area of rain is transitioning to wet, sloppy snow this
morning, particularly across the interior higher terrain of
northern Lower Michigan...and will expect this to continue to
transition to snow through the next few hours. An inch or two of
wet, sloppy snow is expected...with localized higher totals by
this evening in the M-68 corridor of northern Lower Michigan.

Roads could quickly become snow-covered and slippery. Be sure to
allow extra time for travel and extra time to slow down.

Similar to the last storm, started with some rain this morning then we went to sleet, then finally thumped fatties here in Grayling for a bit. Looks like a couple of inches out there - meh. Glad for NE/IA peeps getting something - long boring stretch out there. Also glad Harrison is in the dead zone on these tho there will be a bit of something per the 12z NAM. Prolly whiten the ground overnight.

This may just be the "book end storm" to the late November storm. Guess time will reveal.

EF-2 tornado was confirmed around Bloomington, IN.  It made it into a lesser populated area on the western end of Bloomington but fortunately dissipated before it reached the more densely populated area of the city (IU campus area).

As you can see in the above image, the tornado hit the Monroe County Airport (KBMG).  Before it lost power, the airport recorded a gust of 70 mph as the tornado passed.  Based on the wind direction of SSW, we can infer that the KBMG sensor is located south of the tornado track.  I would expect a sharper change in wind direction between 7:00 and 7:01 (instead of just S to SSW) if the sensor actually experienced the tornado circulation, so not sure if the sensor was in the actual tornado or if it was inflow winds, but it was at least a very close pass.
