Cottonwood snow already?   I was thinking that would probably start this weekend.    Its a little early... usually mid May.

No, it’s this tree which I have a love hate relationship with. Makes a heck of a mess when flowering blossoms die off in the next couple of weeks, then it loads up with berries that are not cherries (not sure what it is) that fall around late July into August which get run over in the driveway causing a mess, then all the leaves drop in October into November.

But it’s pretty right now!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

You need a couple full days out in it to adjust. I've made the mistake of waiting until May or June to start going outside. Our slow, gradual springs are a gift.

I go outside and use my nearby trails on most days. Except for hot days like this, I do it in the early morning instead. There is no way I can survive doing it right now.

@Phil check out the extreme heat in @SeattleMarineLayerFan area.

Should note the dewpoint is in the upper 40s so that makes it even more oppressive.  😀

The heat is triggering some nice storms that look to be on the dry end, at least.

Upper level deformation between the ULL to the southwest and ridge to the northwest is triggering convection... not the "heat".

Took the day off and weedeated, mowed, blew, and got the beast out of its winter slumber and changed the oil. Noticed a slight drip from the new oil filter so I went under to snug it up a little more and accidentally bumped my arm into the very hot header…That woke me up!
Great day!

Don't think so.   Its not hot.   Probably be even more if we had cold air aloft.

78 here right now. Miserable and sweaty. Can't even go outside. Tomorrow is going to go well above 80. That's approaching terrible territory.

You should seriously consider moving here…Should be nice and cool while you poop in a bucket.

Agreed. It doesn’t need to be 80 yet. 65-75 feels plenty nice this time of the year.

70 in NB at 10 a.m.  Should easily get into the 80s.

Missing the first really nice boat day on a weekend.    We would definitely be out there on Lake Sammamish with our kids this afternoon.

It rarely gets all that cold in the regular season. This location is an inland coastal climate.

Qatar's definition of cold is a little different from ours.

Doha's all time record low is 39F.

I think the tech side is starting to show some green shoots, so fingers crossed I guess. I might ask for a forum mass manifestation mediation mantra session, something like "iFred lands his dream job", but I am not that delusional yet.
