I was just reiterating the original point is we will have some elevated fire risk, even if not as bad as this past weekend.

Looks like the air purifiers will be put to the max. As is the case every August for the past 5-6 years! While smoke isn’t down to surface level yet, asthma is starting to trigger.

I just saw this. It’s crazy to see them drop fire suppressant down to residential areas. But they’re doing everything they can to minimize the damage.

Already got the San Andreas orange glow. North is still clear, but that smoke is coming in from the south it appears.

Positively . . . I guess? Whenever we get real hot weather, it seems like we get smoke at the same time and it keeps temps down from their projected highs. So for places in the south where it might be 90s, maybe mid 80s instead for them.

Air quality at the surface still good, but starting to get a bit of a campfire smell with occasional wind gusts from the north.  Currently 72 degrees.

Closely monitoring.  Mostly smoke aloft but if you look at the Highway passes, especially highway 2, you can see the smoke moving through the air quality stations reflect that! Look how you can see the smoke creeping in and bringing station quality down as it moves west. Ominous.

Very much a double edged sword.  If the smoke gets too thick at the surface it gets a lot more miserable.  As someone who hates heat, I would much rather have a clear skies and 90 than AQI 200+ and 80 degrees which is suffocating.

Yeah air quality is spiking around the Central Sound as that smoke trickles out. Might overperform a bit.

27 at Horse Ridge is the coldest temp I found in Oregon this morning. A lot of sub-freezing lows in the usual spots of Central and South Central Oregon and a couple spots in NE Oregon.

Turns out I had 2 lodged stones, one leaving each kidney causing both to swell up. Just got out of surgery, had 2 stents put in. Will need a second procedure in a few weeks to remove them.  

I bet a certain North Bend resident has had a good number of these stones given his extreme aversion to water of any kind. Should ask him for at-home remedies next time instead of wasting $$$ and half my week at a hospital. Am still pissing blood like there’s no tomorrow.

I've had kidney stones twice, was able to pass them NO PROBLEM. I hear they are also caused by STRESS. Lord knows I have a lot of that in my life.

Some elevated smoke here in Salem. Just a bit of haze, not bad yet. I'm trapped in this office for 3 1/2 more hours.
