October 2020 Weather Observations for the PNW

Nov 30 or so. About 3-4 weeks late and not many non-conference games. Probly 20 or maybe a full 22-game Pac12 round-robin. Tournament will probly be in a bubble. No fans.

It had been doing amazing honestly. Since June 10th I had walked over 130 miles. I've had a bit of delay due to an accident/fall 3 weeks ago when cleaning the gutters and also my knee hyper-extended twice over the past week. I'm hoping I'm not heading back to crapsville with the knee. Hope you are well, Jb.

There were approximately 10 drops of rain. 68 duhgrees and gusts to 25-30mph. 

Really needs to be wetter, we're in mid-Fall now.

As much as some folks do like strong winds and heavy rain and whatever else extreme weather brings— there’s always that sadness in realizing that it does have implications for many folks.

Yeah....I'm just not a fan of wind like I used to be.  I've seen enough of it and have had to clean up too many messes.  Probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen in the wind department is where I'm living now in Dec 2005.  It blew for two straight days with totally clear skies and frequent winds gusts into the 60s.  The ground had quite an accumulation of tree branches after that.

Similar to many of y’all, I also love the thrill of a good windstorm, but the damage they cause takes away a lot of the appeal. Any loss of century old trees is legitimately depressing to me. Not to mention the cost of structural damages. I still get pumped up before/during an event, though.

I was on Weatherwest earlier and a guy from Palm Springs said he had 143 days of 100+ this year, a new record, and that 150 is possible.

Was pretty windy at times today...trees have lots of leaves still too so that was probably a contributing factor.

We had some pretty good gusts of wind here in Tacoma today. Still getting pretty good gusts even now...but it definitely peaked early afternoon.

Was a bust in my area. Probably never got above 20mph here. South Snohomish Co and Whatcom Co had higher winds, not sure about other areas.

The GFS gets good on this run, but still not nearly as good as the Euro models this weekend and very early next week.
