October 2020 Weather Observations for the PNW

Maybe the cold snap will give us some good color on the cottonwoods.  They can turn quite good sometimes.

I was in Central WA today and could hardly believe how lame the fall color was even over there.  About the weakest I've seen this late in October.  No doubt that will be changing really quick here.

They were fantastic last year. Colors are definitely not as good as last year either here in Tacoma.

I agree. The colors are lame this year. Many of the maples have already lost their leaves though as they dropped during the smokeversion.

Bacon wrapped filets turned out great, Georgia game not so much.  Been sprinkling for the past 30-45 minutes, starting to get a little heavier as I am typing this, I’ll enjoy the fire a little bit longer then head to my hammock and read.

I figured this was the last weekend I would be able to get out do this and looks like I may not be wrong.

Yep. Trough just a bit too far west. GEM was close to putting us in a pre-Halloween ice box, or pumpkin.
