Sorry guys I ended up getting chased around the outside of the building at work by a whacked out homeless guy on drugs...That was a first! I was mostly worried about the snot coming out of his nose as he is screaming that he was going to kill me and everyone in the building for “abducting his cat and then murdering it” I could almost see the COVID flowing from his mouth. Anyway he got tased by the cops and hauled away. That really cut into my forum time!

So I might see some snow...How about that!!

The guy will not be happy about the snow.

It's pretty close, bit further east though. Still warmer than the other models.

The difference between the GFS and GEM is pretty huge as far as upper level temperatures in Oregon. You would think the two will meet in the middle soon, but who knows?

With the Euro and ICON a bit more diggy (not to mention our dear friend the NAM), the GFS is now safely the warmest of the major models. Could waffle a bit more before settling.

Agreed. We could see the GFS tonight make a big move towards the EURO digging the arctic trough out. I hope so!

Crazy that we’re actually talking about snow possibly. Probably won’t have much of an effect below 1000’ but still pretty low for this time of year. Should definitely get our first 30s of the season.

Solidly chilly. 28 at PDX is impressive for PDX if it verifies.

I’ve received two text messages today asking if it was gonna snow this weekend.

Did you direct them to CulverJosh’s zoom conference happening tonight with NWS?

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I'll never forget the first winter in our Eastern Washington house. First snow was 4 days before Thanksgiving. I had not raked the leaves yet. Woke up to 6" or so of snow. Was super stoked and excited. Kids and I rode the 4x4 atv all day with the sled in tow. Temp never rose above 25 degrees for weeks on end despite clear blue sunny skies, It was awesome! But then another snowstorm came and another and another. By the time mid March had rolled around, the temp managed to creep into the upper 30s for daytime highs. The snowpack was beginning to melt away. I had  forgotten about the leaves I so lazily failed to rake up and burn. Once the snowpack melted down far enough to where blotchy patches of hibernated grass were showing, I seen the leaves. There they were, waiting to be raked up and burned. It was then I realized that my laziness was my undoing.

Never again will I procrastinate on winter yard work preparations....

Another warm day at PDX. 64 for a high.

The cool down is going to be nice.

Seems they keep overachieving. Today was forecast to be upper 50s to around 60.

Cooler air should FINALLY take hold tomorrow. First sub-60 high of the season there?
