Lots of lightning and thunder with hail and evens seems like some snow mixed in but could just be melted hail but has a look of snow flakes. Temp dropped to 41deg so could be possible.

Wow, 41 during the day in October is pretty impressive!

Too late, it’s over. Everyone is burnt out already from all of this model riding. Looking forward to 2021/22.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

12Z ECMWF looks lovely... a much deserved dry and sunny break for western WA.

Hopefully this is the theme for the winter with distinct dry periods between the stormy periods.      Similar to 2013-14... and the complete opposite of 2017-18 which set the rainy season record for days with precip and offshore flow was almost completely absent.

That was a fun morning. Very close thunder, though the core of the storms evaded my specific location. What resulted was a goldilocks-esque light rain with big booms of thunder.

Where’s Rob. :(

I slept in and have been busy all morning. I see we're back to KING GFS. Still cold Gorge/east and that looks to be the best we'll manage with this round. Hoping 00z runs switch back to a stronger block in the 1-3 day. C'MON!!!!

Consolation prize South Sound as the band slides south.

One nice clap of thunder, moderate hail for about 5 minutes and wind from the North at 16, heaviest rain rate was 1.43 in/hr (.08 in the bucket) and temp went from 52 to 47 so far.

Temp now 46* and you can see your breath :)

If you have a discord and are interested, feel free to enjoy. Anthony is a friend of mine that is studying Atmospheric Sciences at the UW, I really recommend you at least give it a look.

May not be over yet...could have a rare south sound convergence zone soon. Doesn’t happen too often we will see!

They may hold together and give us another shot.  Noticed that the intense cell on that last band formed just over my area as rain gauges just to my west only registered .01.  Got lucky

We had some hail earlier but just enough to wet the ground was pretty brief. Hoping these cells to the NW hold together they seem to be doing better than they usually do in NW flow.
