I literally have no idea what your tree colors look like down there... and the person making the comment is in North Seattle.

Its been a wet fall so far up here... particularly the last month.   That is lots of rain which saved the trees from going bare early from dryness like what appeared to be happening in early September.

You act like you don't already know about our ongoing dry spell. Even despite that slight wet anomaly over the past 30 days we're still in the same drought conditions we were beforehand. It's also worth noting that all that rain happened in very short heavy bursts rather than being a normal wet pattern with some longevity. Screenshot_20201022-170402_Chrome.thumb.jpg.b2563c248c3187b8b5f1e5538ab4ce23.jpg

I am not even considering Oregon.  I rarely think about other states when discussing local things.

It was a Seattle area discussion.

So goofy.   Talking about local weather with someone local to me... and the Oregon people chime in ranting about their conditions.

Definitely been a big difference in rainfall recently in Washington vs Oregon. Was dry this summer but we’ve definitely caught up with all the rains in the last month or so Up here in western WA.

Tacoma WA elevation 300’

Monthly rainfall-3.56”

Warm season rainfall-11.14”

Max temp-88

+80 highs-2

+85 highs-2

+90 highs-0

No... he just commented on Seattle weather.    I made a comment that it has not really been that hot during the days recently.    And here we are... dealing with lots of Oregon angst for some reason.  😀

If you'd look at the map I posted you'd understand the disabilitating amount of anxiety.

Fair enough... at least you're admitting your anxiety is the reason we are talking about Oregon when discussing our local Seattle weather.  :)

On a serious note, nitpicking others or complaining that they posted something that you don’t think should be here even though it’s related to weather in the PacNW will probably put you on the fast track to Mod Preview.

If you do think we need a Willamette Valley thread and a Puget Sound thread, start them and if they’re consistently active, I’ll pin them.

I wouldn’t mind a Washington and a Oregon thread. Might make things less complicated on here as we’ve just seen with the WA vs OR discussion.

We tried it before and it did not work too well.  We spend lots of time discussing upcoming patterns and that is better combined.

But I did have to add my signature below to remind people that conditions and anomalies can be very different across the region.  ;)

I just dont want them to be threads where 2 people talk and nearly all of the model stuff applies to both regions. Back in my PhillyWx forum days, we just had a thread for regional model discussion, and we had separate threads for events. I also want to flatten the forum a bit more as a lot of the seasonal stuff and be board wide.

Yeah I can understand that. Hasn’t it been tried before too?

What happened? Last time I checked in here there was all kinds of talk about cold, some snow in the higher elevations.....the night shift was going....models were posted every few minutes.

What did I miss?

It trended East.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I’m good with all of us crammed in the same room together. I simply scroll past what’s not important.  My take :)

I agree. It would be silly to split us up into different threads. We can all be big boys and girls.
