jcmcgaffey
I was thinking we were due until February 2019. That made up for quite a bit in the Seattle area. It was a pretty bad stretch before that going back to January 2012 with no snow lasting more than a day in between those dates at least in Seattle. mtep
Mt. Baker pulled through with the snow this afternoon. I wasn't originally planning on going all the way up to the ski area as I'm in a loaner (lol) and was hoping to catch some flakes around the turnoff to twin lakes/yellow aster butte at about 2000'. Sadly there was only a measly dusting at 2000', so I went all the way up. Definitely worth it. Also the first time I drove the last few miles of 542 with snow on the pavement. I knew it would be a lil sketch but wtf WSDOT, how about some guardrails? Glad it was 33 and not 23. Snow tires next time. 5 1

Popular Post Gradient Keeper
Regarding the stuff this morning. First, Fred is one of the best Forum moderators I've ever seen. Secondly, this place never changes every Fall and Winter when I make my annual pilgrimage back to the forum it is without fail that there are bouts of minor arguments, condescending tones, rude remarks at times, it's all very petty. At times it can dictate the mood within the forum and take away from great information found here as well as the overall mostly friendly banter and camaraderie. I tend to ignore it and scroll down to see what's going on with other members, or what models/maps had been posted. I do think even through it all with the arguing and what not that no one here really dislikes others. There are A LOT of different personalities here some of which are much stronger than others, so naturally some people are going to butt heads or have minor dust-ups. At the end of the day this is an exceptional forum for all weather enthusiasts whether you are a newbie or a seasoned weather geek. As for me I don't get into all of that with the drama. I have tried to play peace-maker at times, but nah. I just post the maps, model countdowns, and enjoy sharing with others enthusiasm for Cold and SNOW! 00z GFS in 2 minutes 00z ECMWF in 2 hours 19 minutes 11 1
