High of 46F, down to around 40F now. We'll get into the upper 20s tonight for sure, I'm really looking forward to stepping outside at the crack of dawn to feel the first hard freeze (or freeze at all) of the season.

Last at around 2:00am night I spent a few minutes outside. The trees were swaying and it was fresh and brisk. It really brought me right back to last February's snow event. My house, despite being shadowed from most SW and E winds, is extremely exposed to Northerly events.

Say what you want, but I have a good feeling about this winter. I've had a good feeling since June when the ENSO began tanking, and especially since August.

Or maybe my gut is all wrong and I just need a new diet... I guess we'll just have to find out by February.

40 here after a high of 47.  Still a lot of clouds.  Not real sure we are going to clear out here tonight. Might not freeze here tonight but that’s not the biggest boat in the lake anyway.. is it?

It’s the only boat we have until January according to some.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Looks like PDX pulled off a high of 51. Would have to check but I think that is their earliest 51 or lower high in quite a few years.

High of just 49 here, afternoon high of 48. Down to 45 now which is the current low for the day, but could be in the 30s by midnight if it clears out.

Not sure if it was the last one this early, but they pulled off a 50/39 back on 10-19-96.

Cold as hell in Ferndale today. Outflow winds were straight up painful, made pumpkin picking interesting. Cool, but totally calm at home in the Samish neighborhood of 'Ham tonight. Excited to wake up to frosty lawns and roofs. Going to make another trek up to Baker tomorrow morning for some sledding before the great thaw.

00Z GFS has eliminated the Thursday/Friday stormy entirely again.

It was not there... then suddenly looked quite potent on all the models... and has since been fading away.      Still might come back.

I’m truly impressed with how quickly the dew points are dropping off tonight down the valley. Looks like into the mid-20s in the metro area, 27 at SLE.
