Yeah most W. Oregon stations still seem pretty breezy. The cold potential appears to be significantly better in western Oregon though. Dewpoint should are well into the teens most spots. About 10-15 degrees lower than most spots in W Washington.

Yeah...it's just going to take a bit longer for the easterly gradients to die down there.  Most places should do very well.

SEA is really jumping around.  40 at 7pm, 43 at 8pm, and 39 at 8:15.  At any rate they have a good shot at a freeze tonight.  I guess I'll have to find out when is the last time they did it this early.

Looks like some wind sheltered spots around Forest Grove are already below freezing.

The NWS should have gone for the freeze warning at least for the EPSL tonight.

I thought they had a freeze on 10/10 last year. We had a freeze here in Tacoma that morning...can’t remember if SEA had a freeze too or not.

I still need to do some digging, but it appears possible SEA hasn't had a freezing low temperature before October 27th since 1954.  That would be insane!

The big difference is last year was a Nino and this is a Nina.  I always like seeing cold in Nina Octobers.  Major cold in Nino Octobers is often a bad sign.

I wonder how November ends this year. Last year was the coldest end to Nov in quite some time here. I know the west sides had a bad winter, aside from a near record dry February the cascades did decent in January snow and in the late Nov to mid December period. The bomb low in southern OR was a nice system.

Tomorrow will be a strange day in the Seattle area... it will dawn clear and then low clouds race in by late morning and park for probably 3 days.    First image is 8 a.m. and second image is 5 p.m.

Pretty weird how much the models are struggling with that system on 10/30.

Last run showed Saturday looking wet now Friday looks wet. Big change from one run to the next.
