Here's the snow thus far

By far the most impressive October storm I've witnessed here since 2012 when I bought property. Ended up with 9 inches of powder and is currently 22 degrees down from 24 at 9am.

Just catching up to everything this morning. I think given that the user base of the forum has been somewhat of a close knit community for 15+ years, there is a bit of leeway given when it comes to be

That’s a legit -NAO pulse during the third week of the month. Would make things interesting even with a zonal Pacific if the cold pool is pushed far enough in SW Canada. The 19th century had a lot of that.

So all we get is a bit of frost this weekend....  yay.

Weren't you out dancing around the cars in the driveway last night as some ice formed on the windshields?

I am joking.   😁

Be sure to post lots of pics!!!

I broke down and bought a generator in anticipation of the upcoming frost.  Made a run on the grocery store as well.

He is north Seattle... not Portland.

There has been not any "heat" this month up here.   Of course that is all subjective.

Right, I'm sure the +3.2F departure this month is subjective.

We've already had some pretty dramatic cooling IMBY from this weather change.  Today had a 52 / 34 spread and it's already down to 37 this evening.  Amazing how much uncertainty there is with the exact track and impacts from tomorrow low pressure system.  Small changes in minor details will make a big difference in how low the max temps stay in the Seattle area tomorrow.  Behind the low there looks to be some impressive CAA on tap for tomorrow night as cool north winds push south through the Puget Sound basin.

It's also pretty noteworthy my month to date average has dropped 1.2F just from the last two days.  I could see the month to date average being down to normal by Monday.

The models really are gravitating toward another GOA ridge later next week.  It will be interesting to see if that gets any oomph to it in future runs.

You know it’s kind of funny...when I joined this forum 2 years ago I used to think tim was the worst and that he was a drain on the place. More and more time goes by and I realize he’s actually a pretty nice guy and you are the drain on the place. You’re just rude, condescending and will insult people over any comment that slightly irritates you or you don’t “deem a worthy post”. Or your cringeworthy freak outs over people posting about sunny nice weather...like that’s a crime for tim to like sunshine. How about work on being nicer to people and not take every opportunity to be an condescending a**...especially to new people which you love to do. I’m not the only one to say something to you about this the last few days...you did the same thing to that Eugene poster when he was just asking a simple question. Not to mention you constantly being a d*ck to people like omega and tiger and others like you’re the forum moderator giving your approval of what’s a worthy post it’s a bad look for you. Sorry for the rant everyone but I believe it needed to be addressed.

Thanks for posting.
