gabel23
The icon makes no sense... unless the Platte River is that much of a player in cutting off precip. I would say the euro has the better handle of the storm;Â the gfs would be too good to be true. Honestly hoping for the euro.....I have two rows of potatoes to dig and a garden to clean up! Must say though, if this week is a precursor of this years LRC we are all sitting pretty!

Tom
00z EPS trending better for a lot of you out west, esp in NE and parts of IA....I'd like to see MSP get at least 0.3" so they can tally up the snowiest October on record and surpassing 1991. Hawkeye
It appears this system will be a nothingburger for east-central/southeast Iowa. Frankly, that is fine with me. I'd rather save the rest of our snow for winter. Let others, farther west, get in on the action. 4 Quote season snowfall: 34.8" '22-23: 30.2"   '21-22: 27.1"   '20-21: 52.5"   '19-20: 36.2"    '18-19: 50.2"    '17-18: 39.5" Average snowfall: ~30"
CentralNebWeather
We got down to 28 just a bit ago with cloudy skies and strong winds all night. Wind chill is 14 degrees as of 8:30 AM. Even colder tonight as the skies clear and winds diminish. Record setting cold by Monday and Tuesday. Iowawx
This snow can stay away from here. We just had snow on Monday.
