November 2020 Weather Observations for the PNW

To follow up on my previous post, here are the past 4 runs of the 12z GFS Op runs centered at Day 4.5. You can see how the trough digs several notches to the west/southwest compared to previous runs. It is quite a significant shift towards us. That's a good trend. On the flip side the initial trough Day 2.5 to 3 is digging too far offshore and cuts-off. Would really like to see the next 4-6 set of runs move away from that, but that doesn't seem likely. We shall see. Ya gotta believe! C'MON!!!!

There will be so much snow this winter they'll need to do snow pig olympics!

Hey guy's, kind of off topic while its slow right now. My Peet Brothers weather station bit the dust after about 15 years of service. It was a hard wired system that was nice for wind info because there was no delay in updating , never missed that big gust. So now I'm looking for a new system and want to go wireless for ease of installation. I've been looking at a WeatherFlow Tempest unit. looks like newer technology for the past few years in home weather stations ,with no moving parts... haptic rain sensor and sonic wind sensor ..  and only a 2.5 second update delay. At $329.00 Its getting good reviews from what I can find. Just wondering if anyone here has one, or any experience with one. Any input or opinions from you guys here on the forum would be great. Thanks... Mark

I have an Ambient Weather Station and really like it. It’s nearly two years old now. I’m not familiar with the stations you mentioned but I’m sure others on here will chime in!
