It's gusting above 35mph. The winds are coming out of the Fraser River valley. My area is quite exposed to the north, and I still haven't had northerly winds like this since February 2019.

It may not be a traditional winter-like arctic front, but it's still a solid blast of winds from the north.

6 AM YWL-BLI gradient just a touch under 12mb. Not bad.

Nice Fraser Outflow windstorm. Can’t really call it “arctic” because it’s too warm for that, but it’s dry and still quite chilly. T=41, DP=13.

Well it is only early November. It’s cold for this time of year.

Kind of a disappointing performance on the low at PDX. Although given this airmass it wouldn’t surprise me to see them fall lower than 37 by midnight.

Eh, pdx basically needs perfect conditions to get a cold night. We knew last night was not going to be one of those times.

I hear you.  I have mostly been focusing on weather and other things I enjoy the past couple of days.  This year has flat worn me out.

I feel ya. I’ve had a loved one die of COVID, been accidentally shot by a neighbor, fallen through a roof, had my house almost burn down and have to evacuate for 8 days... All this year, it feels like the longest year ever. The election is really nothing compared to any of that.

Made it down to at least 32F. Some local stations look like they may have hit 31F. Regardless, it's our 10th freeze.

Amazing what an F'd up year this has been for so many.  My list is sort of like yours.  First of all I use explosives for my hard rock mining hobby and I had a shot go off while I was in the mine (due to utter stupidity on my part).  Left me with a torn up shoulder, a big knot on my cheek, and a ringing right ear that lasted for about two days.  I was insanely lucky and ended up totally healing other than some shoulder scars.  Later in the year I had a severe urinary tract infection that turned into prostatitis.  I was either sick or felt like I was peeing razor blades or both for about three weeks total.  Earlier in the year there was an illegal alien fugitive in the area of my gold mine that killed a hunter near Liberty.  I was up there at the same time this idiot was on a reign of terror in the area. They still haven't found the body of the poor guy that was killed.  That one hit really close to home to say the least.  I'm still trying to regain my full confidence level after all of this in combination with all of the other dystopian crap that's going on..

Ended up with a low of 28 this morning.  We had icy roads and very heavy frost.  Looks like Quillayute ended up with back to back record lows after their low 26 this morning.  This cold snap is a bit of an oddball as the coldest temps have actually been in Western WA, as opposed to East of the Cascades, with some exceptions of course.

He’s referring to a guy that was a fugitive on the run for several weeks in the liberty area between cle elum and Wenatchee earlier this year. He had the whole area closed off while the police were looking for him.
