And, in comparison to the other years, the SSTs were pretty much neutral in the summer and early fall, where some of the other years the SST's were already in nina territory by then. In 2010, for example, the July-September ONI was at -1.4, where this year it was at -0.6. As epic as the mountain forecasts look, it’s good that we’re getting this tight PV / +AO phase over with in November instead of midwinter.
