Looking like a decent blow for the coast but that's about it.

Just know that I WILL blame you if this winter sucks, ok?

You were reluctant to put the snow plow on when you had the chance a few weeks back and that better NOT be the catalyst that f*** us over this year, cool?

Reminds me I still need to do that at some point...Hopefully something in the models will pop up soon and get me excited again to actually do it!

Up to 0.17” today. Still got a couple more hours of steady rain on the way it looks like. Good chance we end up above average in rainfall this month based on what the models have been showing for the next week or so.

Anyone want to take a minute or two and help a n00b out by annotating/drawing/identifying exactly what and where you guys are looking on the loops to make this determination? Like, how would you present this to a 101 class of "whats going on here"

I’m waiting as well for the what’s going on here!!
lightning still taking place in the area the low is developing and my eyes could be playing tricks on me as I look at the animation but it certainly looks like circulation is happening down there. Wait and watch situation like always....story of our life on the West coast.  Hope others chime in with their knowledge.  Wundermap only shows the parent low.
Discloser: I’m just an OBS

KPTV barely referring to tomorrow's wind event. Calling it just "breezy".

Zero mention of wind at all in their text update on their weather page. They talk about the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday weather outlook but don't even say the word wind.

Weather-kptv-com.png

This is far from a good setup for strong winds in the valley.  The offshore component to gradients all but guarantees that.

A very wet I-5 as I look out my office window.

Wet here, but not very wet, more of a gentle rain. There is a high wind warning for my area tomorrow, so there is that. It does seem easier for the NW Interior to get high wind conditions than the Central Puget Sound region. It’s all underground electric lines in my part of town so it seldom affects me much.

18z NAM coming in quite blustery for most folks. Winds quickly ramp up in the South Sound around 8AM, spreading north up the Sound between 9-11AM, then ending fairly quickly around 12PM except for up in the NW interior. This is an increase in speeds vs. what the 12z showed.

If the NAM happens to verify, NWS Seattle will have some egg on their face by this time tomorrow.

Interesting still not a lot of consistency on the models who knows what’ll happen.

A good old fashioned moderate rain happening here. Lots of spray from the vehicles.

No the 'Big One" is holding off until we have a regional blizzard and it'll happen during a flash-freeze and multi-day driving snowstorm.

Yeah we do have an easier time of it.

Power lines are underground for us as well, so more often than not when we lose power it’s due to an equipment failure at a substation.  Also I live right next to a fire station, and I am assuming they get a little priority when it comes to getting the lights back on.  Kinda bummed I will be “in the dungeon” at work tomorrow so I won’t really get to watch the storm.
