Managed to get to 6.02” on the month now...0.61” on the day. Looking like things may start to get drier...oh well was a good run of consistent wet weather here. 15 out of the last 19 days have had rain...currently riding a 8 day rainfall streak as well.

If the gfs verifies we will end up right at average for November rainfall...euros a bit wetter.

Looking like pretty good odds the Portland area ends up drier than average for November.

At least a stretch of chilly and dry weather won’t do much to melt what has already fallen.

Canadian and GFS ensembles both showed a strong signal for a ridge right over us all the way out to day 16.

For PDX after Wednesday high temps in the low 40s to maybe 45, low temps progressively cool towards or just below freezing. Definite inversion.

Many times in the past we've seen these ridgy/inversion periods evolve into a cold pattern. I wouldn't rule it out.

Well, that was fun, said maybe one or two people. Maybe. If you were to take a survey, 2 out of 100 people would have found this an enjoyable evening of perusing computer models. Perhaps a third, but he(or she) would likely have been hammered drunk.

Okay, I know it's "fake cold", but the Canadian ensembles really wants to develop a substantial Columbia Basin cold pool. This fake cold could become quite chilly for PDX/Gorge. I assume east winds would become a player too. Is it sad or? that I'm excited about this. I need therapy. Help me. Okay. C'MON!!!!
