I for one would love to have the “goods” mid December through the new year. That’s  the best possible time in my eyes. Makes the holidays more memorable as well.

There’s nothing better than gathering closely with tons of friends and family as the snow falls outside.

There seems to be a bit of a trend in todays model runs to slightly weaken the death ridge over us during week 2.

Last nights Canadian Ensembles:

Todays 12Z:

Last nights GFS:

Todays 18Z:

And how the current 18Z ends:

That looks like noise to me. Esp given it’s 384hrs out.

Well most synths are virtual nowadays. VSTs. I’m into making music on the PC and own a few programs if you ever have a question about that.

Although you may just be interested in the old school legit synths. But those take up real space in your house and can be very expensive.

I know this is a weather forum, but this triggered a memory.  I used to have a Roland Juno 106 analog synth years ago and sold it back then.  Just looked them up and they run anywhere from $800-$2000!  Didn't pay much for it and sure didn't sell it for much either.  Must be popular now.

The models seem to be having real problems resolving the strength of the supposed week 2 ridge.  A strong ridge is best if you want it to be cold.  In general I would like a strong ridge for a number of reasons.  Hopefully the next few runs will stabilize a bit.

Good point.  I'm just ready for it to clear out.  I hate this drippy gloom.

It just refuses to clear out here.  Probably going to be a long wait now for it to frost again.  People in OR are the clear winners for cold nights thus far.

It’s what synthwave musicians use. The neon lights, new-80s sound that is taking over pop radio (making it better IMO) and has slowly been doing so since the early 2010s.

Pretty interesting article from Scott about trying to verify Mount Baker's snowfall claims in '98-99. It's amazing that the ski area had 178" in November!

Isn’t the moon a waxing crescent today? Or is that just the camera?
