The majority of December 1985 was a huge ridge. It was aided by the eastside snowcover and low level arctic air at the start of the month that was only modestly scoured out. Some of the most frozen I’ve seen the Gorge waterfalls. There was significant ice even on the edge of the Columbia out by Rooster Rock. Ended with a very windswept mini snow event about a week before Christmas.
