I have seen that type of freezing fog all the way up through central Oregon into the Columbia basin in Washington. I'd imagine any valley in the intermountain west that can see days of freezing fog without any sort of atmospheric disturbance is capable of that sort of thing. Timmy Supercell
December 2013. I didn't log what days I took the pictures. The first picture was the start of the hard freeze, this progressed as time went. I have not seen it this defined in a long time. Pictures 5 and 6, insane accumulation on those pine needles. 5 2 Quote Ashland, KY Weather '23-'24 Winter Snowfall - 5.50" First freeze: 11/1 (32) Minimum: 2 on 1/17 Measurable snows: 4 Max 1 day snow: 3" (1/19) Thunders: 11 1/27, 1/28, 2/10, 2/22, 2/27, 2/28, 3/5, 3/6, 3/14, 3/15 3/26, ------------------------------------------------------- [Klamath Falls, OR 2010 to 2021] https://imgur.com/SuGTijl

Ya I don’t have any pics but I’ve seen it in the Bend/Redmond area a number of times like that over the last decade.
