Being in Oklahoma feels like pre-Covid times. More people are wearing masks than in August or October, but everything is pretty much open.

I find it a mix of refreshing and unsettling.

To provide contrast to Brian’s snowy pics, here are some from a near Lacamas Lake about a half hour ago, right at dusk. Dark, wet and gloomy, but there is still a sort of beauty to it.

Tim’s pics make PNW winters look much more colorful and less bleak. Maybe he tricks himself?

Doesn’t get much more ugly and bleak than Oklahoma this time of year. Here is a pic I took today. Ugh.

Well, if anything that looks about normal to me. Cold air dumping where it’s supposed to dump

Purple means it's not exactly normal. 😉

And it definitely hasn't been a regular occurrence since October...there's been a lack of any notable cold dumping down into the lower 48 for the past 6 weeks.

We have finally gotten around to watching Twin Peaks, after hearing about it/seeing references to it for years. I think that show does a good job of capturing the PNW in all its gloomy glory. Well except for the shots that were obviously filmed in CA.

Looks like it’s been melting for awhile :(

Part of me has to wonder if those were leftovers of the February ‘89 blast given the timing of the filming.

Did you watch season 3? David Lynch's transcedental meditation definitely had a lot to do with that one.

I think it's on $howtime. Prepare for the show to become increasingly even more difficult to understand, and that's kinda the whole point.

Granted their cold intrusions have been less but as I look back over time this illustration is one I’ve seen many times and to me is normal.  Perhaps it’s Dads fault as he grew up on the farm back in ND. So many stories of bone chilling winters and of course walking to school with snowdrifts as high as the telephone poles.

Honestly 7 or 8 out of 10 comments you make are attempts to p*ss him off. Would like to see people like you and others continue to post here with weather info and stuff we’re glad to have you. Just block him if you can’t stand him focus on posting weather stuff instead of being an anti Jesse shitposter...that’s honestly just annoying and adding to the problem.

A few of us has a friend who lives in NYC right now. The pics and videos have been entertaining. It's impossible to tell how much has fallen due to the drifting.

Hurts missing the good stuff by 50 miles like this. Especially after last year’s disaster. At least we have a compacted 1” glacier to build on.

Sleeting sideways and upwards now as CAA rushes out of the mountains. Kind of a raw storm overall.

They really lit up the Ragland Theater for the holidays. Bright greens/reds.

Android pics, so they're not very clear. Also was wiping raindrops off the lens.

And some blobs in parking lots, soaking up the rain.

I've been dealing with that the last 2 or 3 years. Just without the sleet or the 1" glacier.

Don't lie. That's your handy work, isn't it? :) It's nothing to be ashamed of, Randy. You have a good, general idea of what the shape of a snowflake should be, even if it looks like a sunflower. Nah it's cute. Lol. I think when I was 6 I was just happy to not be pissing and ****ing the bed. Outstanding.

A couple of times I got into the show but stopped sometime in the middle. Now that it's free I'll start from the first episode soon and hopefully follow the whole story. Nice that they revived the show.

I like just about anything Kyle MacLachlan stars in. Good actor.
