Gradient Keeper
I would even take a cooler/colder northwesterly barrage full blown La Nina run Day 3-8, then Day 9-75 Gulf of Alaska blocking. That's not a typo. December 25th - March 1st, 2021 nothing but arctic blasts and reloads. Ya gotta believe!

Brian_in_Leavenworth
43 minutes ago, MR.SNOWMIZER said: You will probably end up with a bunch tonight. NWS is way off on this forecast. I do see now that they updated the forecast for 2-4 inches tonight, but the forecast from a few hours ago said less than an inch for the 24 hours starting late this afternoon. 2-4 tonight might be good, and it wouldn't count the snow that happened before about 6 or 7 o'clock. Guessing we have 6 new inches and still snowing. They said all along that our area would be hard to forecast, and it depended on how warm it got today. It stayed below freezing all day, and that made the difference. So I had checked other forecasts, and the UW MRF 4k ensembles forecast may end up being the winner. The ensemble mean forecast about 10 inches last night, and the 12Z forecast about 7. I have often found that one to be pretty accurate. 1

I could tell just from this run to run comparison (thanks for those by the way because they are great) that the cutoff low would be weaker and further west. I hope the next 2-3 days continues to show that cut-off low holding squarely under the center of the base of the ridge. If that made sense.
