SilverFallsAndrew
Power went out last night around 7:30p. Didn't come back on until about 4am. Currently 35 and cloudy, there was some rain/snow mix about 30 minutes ago. Snow level probably 2000-2500 feet. What a lot of people missed because the focus was on the front and snow chances, is that the post frontal airmass really got watered down too. I dislike it when that happens, but it’s par for the course in marginal events like this. Would have happened here if it did not clear off. As it is, there was some compaction and melting before it cleared. Such a difference from my teen years in the Rockies, where it would always freeze overnight in the winter months, except if there was a mild, rainy system moving through. And even on most of those, there would usually be a pause in the action and a brief clearing spell where it would touch freezing at some point overnight. 1 Quote It's called clown range for a reason.
