It'll be ok. We've been experiencing that down here plenty. It's not so bad.

I’m not complaining, I’m just reporting. Honestly, rain and fifties is much easier to get than snow, so it shouldn’t come as any big surprise.

Pretty much the same as getting 90s in the summer down here.

Something that happens here maybe once every five years or so.

Definitely a nicer summer climate up there especially nice than our August or September ash storms.

We weren’t right on the edge of the fires like you were, so our air quality never got as abysmal as yours did, but it was still pretty nasty for a week or so. Had me wishing I had A/C more than any summer heat wave did. (It actually did crack 90 on one day this past summer.)

If we weren't looking to move as soon as we can I would probably be looking into A/C  for our house, though I shudder to think what the cost would be (2 story almost 2,900 sq ft house).  It will definitely be a feature for our next home.  I know we wouldn't use it a ton, but when we need it, we NEED it!

Major shift on the 12z EPS to lower heights over the West with rising heights in the SE compared to the 00z last night. Looking like a really fun mid month on through the Holidays. Perfect timing IMO!

Oddly enough, this had a pretty decent handle on the anomaly centers considering it was 16 days out.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Yeah good test of Tim’s model and it seemed to have fared pretty well.

So crazy... we had that exact thermometer.  My mom had a thing for owls when I was a kid.

My grandparents in Wisconsin had the same thermometer as well... just seeing that picture takes me back there.

I have ridiculously specific memories of checking it religiously in November 1985.

My grandparents had the same one as well at the lake house!

We talked about it two years ago when I posted a snow pic with this thermometer.  You said you had the same exact thing.  My memory works well on some things not so well on other things

I liked how the owl’s gaze deviated toward the single digits, teens and twenties.  I have a feeling if they made it today he’d deviate toward the forties, fifties and sixties.😢😢😢
