MLK was born in 1929, which had a significant snowstorm on 1/29.

He died in 1968....which had a significant snowstorm on 1/29.

1928 - 29 was a fantastic winter in this area.  In some ways I would  call it top 3 for the 20th century...at least for the Puget Sound region.

Anyone have any insight on the 12/27/1928 snow event? Looks like maybe an anafront situation just looking at the monthly data for SLE.

45/31 spread here today. Seasonably chilly. Morning fog with some light east wind developing in the afternoon.

Calm and down to 36 now. Glad we are avoiding the east wind as it is blowing just several blocks to the south of here.

38/29 the past 2 days. Looks like we have 6-7” of snow left. The official measurement for Shawnigan was 11” for the storm. Either they got a little more just to the south of here or they have a generous measurer.
