EURO buries Phil and anyone fortunate enough to live on the side of the coast that still gets snow (mostly sarcasm but come on La Niña)

Gonna be a close call on the mix line for me. Always have to keep expectations in check here..just a few miles could separate big totals from mixy mush.

Folks near/west of the Blue ridge are sitting pretty for 1-2 feet, though.

I started to have them while I was conscious back when I was 3 or so. Would start moving my arms up and down and it became difficult to control. Once I started to get made fun of in school for it, I tried to suppress my movements and it led to my brain feeling like it had thunderstorms in it so I’m always super clumsy and it’s extremely difficult for me to remember things. It’s gotten worse since August, 2008 and I’ve had 2 surgeries and I now have a cybernetic implant that is helping somewhat. I still move around a lot so I try to stay indoors and away from people who would feel nervous around me. I have most of my major ones at night but my tongue is calloused from biting it so much and my crossbite makes my speech all weird so I got made fun of for that too. Much like the frat in college, y’all have given me someone to interact with and not feel out of place. Thanks for that.

I hate that for ya man.  My daughter (also has epilepsy) has the myoclonic seizures, (her tonic-colonic seizures are controlled at this time) and periodically her hairbrush will go flying across the room, or a kitchen utensil.  We've been very fortunate she hasn't sent anything breakable across the room, but she's dropped a few dishes.  If she starts having too many she has to lay down wherever she's at, as that's a warning sign of a full blown seizure being imminent.  Her memory has taken a pretty big hit, and her cognitive abilities to a lesser extent.  There are some pretty good sized chunks from her childhood that are blank.  😞

The big concern now is for her to get back working and established with a place that offers insurance.  She turned 24 this year, and her meds cost over $2k per month without insurance.

I can't imagine how painful the losing memories part of it would be.  Hopefully they will eventually find a full blown cure for this.

KLMT still reading 23. That's like 12-15 degrees cooler than forecast high. Initially anyway. I'm sure someone updated that by now.

Not on the ensembles. The Op runs, yes.

The pattern starts to lock when that ridge builds over us after the Dec 23 (give or take) trough.  From there it looks to retrograde.

I don't see retrogression with the EPS.  The ridge over us just basically stays over us, and a new ridge forms out toward the Aleutian Islands.

Quick update for you guys.

Despite my positive COVID test result I will be heading into the ER later this afternoon for further treatment, specifically to address my ever increasing breathing issues that are further compounded by my asthma.

Otherwise I am doing well but still feeling like crap, I'm able to keep food down after vomiting for a few days, fever is almost nonexistent and some of my most severe symptoms have waned but I am still fairly weak and lethargic.

Hoping for better days ahead.

Take care my dysfunctional family

Best of luck and get well soon!!!  We’ll keep the downvotes going until you get back!

That sucks man, I hope you are able to kick this quickly.  I'm not sure of your age, but the 20-something crowd have had Covid do a drive by on their heart on its way out (almost all don't have lasting effects).  My son had this, he got severe chest pains and had to call 911.  It freaked him out really bad when the paramedics said is EKG wasn't right and loaded him up.  He was later cleared without any lasting effects.  Sounds like they were seeing it on a pretty regular basis in Bozeman.  The weakness and lethargy took a while to kick, he is a lot better though still not 100% (he had it in late October.)

Thanks for the well wishes,

With regards to your son, I'm glad to hear he's doing much better, I haven't had any of the "typical" symptoms experienced by the younger or older crowds but it still "got me" good.

Being in my early 40's I think may have helped (in what way, I'm not sure) but in any event it appears I'm on the mend.

I find it crazy how a region that is unequivocally subtropical year-round has this four month period out of the year where it can randomly get a ten inch snowstorm. Not many other places in the world are like this, save for SE Asia.

Drives me crazy when I see that area have a massive snow event while we are in the 50’s up here. 🤬🤮

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

It's not really surprising, though. Usually those patterns are associated with our hot weather. Our death ridge is just their blocking pattern that digs arctic air south to the Gulf of Mexico.

IDK, it just helps me feel better knowing it's not just a random awful twist of fate.
