Just went outside and literally couldn't see a couple of feet in front of me. Insane blizzard conditions. I can't imagine driving in this right now!

The radar def has a "squall" line type signature to it.  Some 35 dbz returns showing up on the back edge near Ottawa and Aurora.

Some of the heaviest snow I have seen in my life just passed through in a razor thin band. It was absolutely insane, complete whiteout conditions.

I went outside about 15 minutes ago, in St. Charles, and could honestly tell you that it hasn't been that bad since the blizzard, completely white with the winds hollowing exactly like they did for the blizzard! Absolutely nuts!

Was insane about 30 minutes ago, here in lasalle. Couple a huge gusts, power flashed and for a while couldn't see more than a couple feet out our back door.

Holy crap!  It's absolutely wild out there right now in the last band that's going through my area!    At times, I couldn't see the houses across my street!!!  Probably worse conditions than during the GHD Blizzard.  Insane!  The worst of it only lasted about 5 minutes but it was worth every minute of it.

I couldn't agree more, definitely one of the coolest/heaviest bands of snow I have ever been in!  The wind here is nuts, glad LOT upgraded!

This has been a winter that hasn't disappointed bringing the heaviest snowfall rates I have seen in my life and multiple times at that!  Very impressive to say the least.

Wind is pretty crazy here too. It comes in gusts, then everything settles. Then repeats a minute later.

Blizzard warning here as well till morning. If this had been hitting the East coast it's all you would hear about but it's just us simple Midwest folk..

East Coast dont usually get blizzards as much as the midwest and upper midwest does.

Picked up an additional 1.3" of Fluff.  About 4" total with this Clipper.  Not to shabby.

Just saw a plow go by, still looks awful the roads covered again with the drifts! Plus, I just saw the first commerial plane in a while, wouldn't wanna be flying tonight that's for sure!

Went out during the height of the blizzard and I have to compare it with the GHD blizzard. Pretty intense snow and wind. Looking forward to the next storm.

Out here in the country it is insane. Cars and trucks stranded everywhere. Police and ems in rescue mode. They are picking up and taking people to safety, tagging the cars as searched and leaving them until plows can get out tomorrow. 80 and 39 were closed all routes and minor highways are closed.

That sounds crazy! Occasionally I still see a car drive by here. Too many trees and buildings in the way to create those true ground blizzard conditions here.

10-20 miles west is a different story.

The HRRR has temps much below what is forecasted tonight. While I do think we get lower than the -10 degree forecast, I don't know if we get as low as the HRRR is showing. That said, the model has been doing an fantastic job this year.

Been listening to the scanner past couple hours. All kinds of vehicles, cars, trucks, semis, are stuck on highways and secondary roads. One sheriff said a drift was up to his armpit. One group just abandoned their car on the road and walked home a mile. Its madness here in LaPorte County...

I can't imagine what its like out there in rural areas, must be really chaotic, especially emergency personnel handling these critical situations.

Drove from UP of MI to Chi last night.  By far the worst driving conditions I've ever encounered.  Complete whiteouts.  Stopped counting cars in the ditch after 25.
