Just got done shoveling and the final total is 2.8"...the switchover to Freezing Rain occurred about an hour or so ago and now there is a glaze of ice on all the south and east facing windows.  Would have been nice to get a 4"+ snowfall outta this one but the dry slot came in a little to far north.  I'm just thankful the landscape is white again and it finally looks like winter.  Congrats on the huge totals and Thundersnow out in IA!

Final total of 9.2" taken from average of snow boards around the yard. Well forecast and very respectable event. Honestly the first event I can remember where I'm left thinking ... D**n did the canadian do a good job.

I really need to figure out a good place to measure at my new house, because everything I’ve tried has just been terrible, so I can’t get anywhere near an accurate reading.

But I will say, the reporting of around or a little above 7” here seem to be about right on, so I’ll just go ahead and agree with that. Exceeded my expectations a little, though it was right on with the forecast. And as I shower with my picture last night, I got to see some great snowfall.

Would definitely like to see some more quality of snowfalls, but we’ve gotten a couple of great ones so far this year at least!

Nice to see those double digits!

(unless you're that 2" report stuck in between) 🤪

That’s the same amount I measured or had, minus the beer !🍺Ha    I couldn’t have used a tape measure like that because even with a ruler I really had to jab it to break through the hard crust on top.

I had over 1.50” of liquid equivalent though a core sample from just over 6” of snow amounted to at least 1.26” qpf. Not sure how accurate the core was what with all of the sleet n ice, trying to push it through the crust.
