I see looking into it that it was also a North Atlantic SSW, which tends to favour the west at first and then favour the east afterwards. But even at that, its hard to imagine a late January SSW would have aided an arctic blast a month earlier. So I’m not sure if the wind failed us. I was looking at the data just now and it looked like SEA had a gust of 35mph, exactly as forecast. And several in the 30s. It was just blustery here earlier in the day with the one gust at 30 mph. Like I posted earlier today the Puget Sound was laying flat down here with a wind advisory in place.
