Seahawks lost to the Rams in the WC in January 2005 and our winter fell apart.

This year the opposite will happen.

The last time the Rams were in the Superbowl it started snowing here during the game and I got 2 feet of snow the next 10 days.

It does seem like the shoe will drop to some extent at some point. The fairly active period of weather we have been in over the past several weeks actually does give me a bit of hope. If that shoe dropping is having the coolest summer of the 21st Century, I can handle that too.

In North Bend that language is considered blasphemous if not traitorous. Tread carefully.

Goff has a history of horrible performances in inclement weather. If you are a Hawks fan root for rain!

Goff's performance against Oregon on September 29, 2013 is infamous. He fumbled 4 times in the first half and was benched in the 2nd quarter in Cal's 55-16 loss.

He got benched because he couldn’t grip the ball. He has small hands for a guy of that size. It was an absolute downpour during that game though.

No doubt its decent, but when I hear "amazing and possibly historic" I expect much more. But each to their own.

Before people ignorantly pick apart my comment to which was rather vague I admit, I'm speaking in terms of the persistent Gulf of Alaska/Western Alaska ridging which persists for a month. That absolutely opens the door for amazing potential and yes, perhaps historic IF we have good amplitude with the ridge/block.

The persistence of the pattern we've been in does give the feeling of potential for something long lasting if things set up right. Big if.

As always, our power was out during that game (And would be for the next couple of days!), so I sat out in my car listening on the radio. I figured by halftime the game was well in hand.

goff has a history of horrible performances in ALL weather. he has 20 turnovers this year and single handedly lost his team 4 games. they would have wrapped up the division 3 weeks ago. whatever. hawks will win saturday.

I think Everett's just a cool location. It was close to average, a little above in most spots. Definitely felt cool after the 2013-18 period though.

2018 was our last totally ridiculous summer, but the past two were solidly warm.

I wasn't trying to be ignorant. I'm sorry that it came across that way. I was just having a hard time seeing what was so "amazing and possibly historic" about the run. But now that you explained it, I see your point.

That said, I still wouldn't call it "amazing and possibly historic." Sure, there is potential but it just doesn't look that spectacular to me. But thats just my opinion. 😀

I definitely enjoy that aspect of our climate here. We seem to get plenty of sunshine in the Summer but temps are noticably cooler than even Seattle most days. Even the really hot days are usually only in the mid-upper 80's and we cool off at night pretty well.

And to be fair, I was gone almost that whole Summer in Hawaii and Europe, but I remember coming back and my roommates said they'd barely turned on the AC. This Summer it was on almost every day.
