I take COVID pretty seriously, but I think a lot of these shutdowns have gone to far. I am sure there are ways you can safely operate your business. And let's be real, most of the people hitting it hard in the gym are not at high risk for COVID complications. I know we have a separate thread for this, but I just wanted to say I am sorry about that, it is not right. Off-topic. As I have been saying on the Fox 12 fb page since March, if Walmart is open there is no reason whatsoever that every other business can't be adhering to the same safety protocols. The shut downs are intentional and it is not a coincidence that Democrat ran cities are the only ones with draconian and tyrannical shut downs even when the science, yea that same science they continuously tout does not show them being necessary. A 1% rate of transmission for indoor dining and negligible risk for schools is proof they do not follow the science. Business owners should have stopped complying back in April and do not pay a single unconstitutional fine. A gym owner back in New Jersey remained open and has incurred $1.2 MIL in fines and he will not pay a dime. 00z GFS in 1 hour 5

The UK has much more draconian restrictions currently than we do (and the country is run by a very un-Democrat like prime minister), but they really had no choice - it got to a point where the virus was spreading so quickly, if they didn't do something hospitals were going to be stretched to a breaking point. A primary responsibility of government is to make sure its people have adequate access to health care. If the hospital system is overrun and breaks down, that doesn't happen. And the more densely populated a region or country is (the UK is very densely populated), the easier covid spreads and the easier it is for outbreaks to overwhelm the health care system. Point being, what restrictions are "necessary" is definitely subjective and depends on a variety of factors, but it's not a simple political thing. 8 2 Quote A forum for the end of the world. I'm only talking about our country, and it is undeniable. According to the OHA there are no known flu cases in Oregon and no hospitalizations. Wow. I find it amazing how after thousands of years the Flu has magically vanished. It just took another virus to wipe out the Flu. The current flu rate in the US is at 0.1% and last year at this time 22.1%. That is not scientifically possible in any way. It's not. Authorities are lumping all the flu cases and deaths in with the Covid numbers. CDC states they have also added heart attack, cancer, bacterial pneumonia, viral pneumonia, and other causes. We end up with having no idea what the true numbers are and that is intentional. This further verifies that we've never had any reason to shut down a D**n thing. Again...look around the world. Almost everywhere is reporting the same thing - very little flu. Why? It's a lot less transmissible than covid, and the social restrictions made it very difficult to spread, to the point that it's practically wiped out in some areas. Of course, it will eventually come back. If you want to believe that the entire world is in on this giant conspiracy and medical professionals everywhere are purposefully misidentifying various conditions, ok. Doesn't make any sense to me. 8 Quote A forum for the end of the world.
