Kind of realistic.

Agreed. A dusting in my old stomping grounds of Monterey County is totally in the cards!

(sarcasm, but realistic for our region, yes).

Given you know who Leslie Nielsen is I would peg you at over 50 and a Trump voter. I try to find the line between trolling, seriousness, and comedy. If I am ever able to pull it off you will never know which is which. ;)

I'm know who Leslie Nielsen is, and I'm a 28 year old, non-Trump voting moderate-conservative!

I may have under-estimated Mr. Nielsen's popularity.

Probably not, honestly.

I only know him from Airplane! and I probably couldn't name another film he was in.

PDX playing with fire by not firing off its 60 degree January prereq now...

I could see it happening later this evening if some of those stronger wind forecasts materialize. Could mix down some warmth.

Although of course we aren't really due for 60 degrees in January. I think it's happened the last three consecutive years with nothing to really show for it the month of.

Our last 60-less January, on the other hand, was AWESOME.

We need to stop the Airplane! quotes. It's just too quotable and will hijack this entire thread.

And that's what led to my drinking problem.

Last year’s shoe was pretty D**n close to my head when it dropped and the two Februaries prior to that turned out okayish.

As for today, I think we’d need a little adiabatic help.  Dew point spreads seem pretty static at the moment.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Some 40-ish wind gusts could probably help out with the adiabatic element. Time will tell!

BUT this is better than the usual circular firing squad. We are going to need to tap into this positive energy later in the month when our dreams get crushed by reality.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I was talking to a local met who occasionally posts on here (IbrChris). He said after looking at the EURO weeklies he gives PDX about a 20% chance of seeing accumulating snow before mid-February. Even for my elevation he doesn't think it looks great with snow levels mostly hanging out in the 2-3K range.
