I'm hoping for an arctic outbreak... it seems to be quite allergic to crossing the border and spill into W. WA.

Things can change...even if we don’t score this month (could change and end up scoring still) there’s still all of February left.

COVID regulations. Way more difficult to cross the border. Arctic air is low on the vaccination phase list.

Maybe when the pattern change is imminent, the models will flip?

Could you post Everett?

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Canadian forum is getting awfully excited about what the model runs are saying for 8 or 9 days out.

Some forum members here might need to take a field trip over to their forum and drop them down a peg or two! Excitement NOT allowed.

I should probably be over there, though the weather in Victoria is more similar to the Puget Sound area than it is to Vancouver/Nanaimo. We're far less likely to get snow than most of the region with this upcoming pattern due to shadowing.

Yeah that track is the absolute worse track for vic. Slams Vancouver though.

You should! There’s plenty of contributors from the Island there. I’m there because, climate-wise, Whatcom County is more similar to the BC Lower Mainland than the Puget Sound area.

It's called clown range for a reason.

That and he is now trying to steal any hope Jim has for some goodies soon, referenced by his immediate replies to Jim earlier today.

🤣

Not true at all.   You have been more negative that anyone.  Jim actually had to scold you.   We are on good terms.   But I will just stop offering any analysis or opinion on snow details until it looks really good.   Its easier that way.

I haven't been negative at all.  Not one bit.  And Jim didn't scold me, he acts that way everytime someone does not share the same enthusiasm as he does for 7+ days out on the models, definitely not a scolding.

Your weather is probably more similar to the rest of lower BC than my weather, I think you're even north of here. I was there for awhile in 2017, then my account stopped working and I never ended up creating a new one. Not sure if it's even the same domain anymore.

Doesn't look great, but if we can get any sort of NE outflow prior to that front we may swing a brief overrunning event. We're more prone to precipitation enhancement with NE winds and the rain shadow loses its effectiveness; as soon as the winds go E or SE it's over.
