Interesting that you can still access if you have it bookmarked. But it's no longer there on the drop down menu.

I am atmospheric wrath after all.

Gosh look at the 500mb pattern for March 5th and 6th 1951.

Abbotsford BC recorded 63.5cm (25 inches) in 48 hours.

Phil, what caused such an intense arctic pattern so late in the year? Its hard enough to get that around here in December and January nowadays let alone March.march51951.gif.7dda95caea97cad1888ee95d059ed47b.gifmarch61951.gif.3b7a27f71a3575ffb8a8a919cec32e55.gif

Probably a SSW or dynamic final warming to produce a late winter -NAO like that under -ENSO.

Phil! We are now about 3 weeks in after SSW. What's happening?

Asking for a friend. ;)

SSW/wind reversal peaked 3 days ago. Lol.

It’s one goofus run. Not the end of the world.

You still think real arctic air will make an appearance in the Northwest?

I think so. Chances are significantly higher than climatology, at the very least.
