Looking through the pictures this was the last time it snowed here. February 26th 2019. It started mid day then around 2pm we decided to leave work because we saw that it started to accumulate. Let’s say the drive home was scary since it was icy too 😑. Still not used to driving in this kind of weather.

My buddy on Crooked River Ranch says he has 4" new. Great event for Central Oregon, models had shown maybe a dusting at best.

What, you don't get a lot of practice driving in the snow and ice in Puerto Rico?

Only practice I had was to scream at people to turn on the signal light when they are actually turning or passing a lane! 😂

I'm mosly a lurker here, longtime reader.  I live in Maple Valley at around 550' and then for our snow fix we built a home just outside of Winthrop at 1900' where we have about 2' of snow on the ground currently.

Unfortunate warming trend across nearly all models for Sunday AM.

Euro shows just cold rain for lowest elevations.

3km NAM probably has a good handle on this. Accumulation in the hills and coast range. No stickage below.

I honestly don’t know why any models were showing sticking snow to the valley for Sunday. Never looked like a good setup to me. We aren’t exactly in a cold airmass right now.

I’m still in various shades of color!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

More specifically, downtown Klamath Falls. I'm quite a bit north of KLMT (about 8 or so miles), so there can be differences in rainfall especially in the summer.

Beautiful day today. Loving the dry weather we've had this week.

Its been lovely... our well-deserved reward after the record setting rain.

My son and his girlfriend just randomly decided to go skiing this afternoon at Snoqualmie Summit because its such a gorgeous day... they just stopped by our house to get their skis and have lunch.    A nice benefit to having him in Seattle for college.

Yeah it was always a long shot to get anything sticking, was hoping we could at least still see a few hours of snowfall though. Which I do think is still in the cards.

On beautiful days like today... he just throws his jacket and snow pants in the back of the car and drives up in shorts and flip-flops and gets dressed in the parking lot up there.

During the summer he rarely wears shoes or a shirt on sunny days... the kid is always barefoot and very tan.   He is an Eagle Scout so he is tough!

The problem with these late winter surges of cold/snowy weather is by the time the cold and snow arrives my mind has already switched gears and started looking towards spring and summer. So when it arrives I'm pretty meh about it.

I really wish November, December, and January could deliver the goods but I guess I would have to relocate to get that.....that isn't going to happen. I love it here too much. I'll deal with it.

Onward!

I feel the same way... but probably in the minority on here.
