Recent GEFS runs have been trending colder. This run is insane.

Sub 495 thickness in AB. Pepto, barney, whatever you want to call it - it's in SW Canada and into WA. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen a model run this cold.

Would like to see a deeper trough so everyone can join in, though.

Incredibly cold air over BLI. Subzero at 10am? You bet. Several inches of powdery snowfall.

EUG hit 27F but Springfield is still at 34F. Weird how the airport can be so much colder. We didn’t have a freeze or frost on the east side of town.
