I don't know much about Van. Island.  What is the largest population, with elevation, that gets a lot of snow?

Campbell River (35k population) usually scores the most I would say. They're quite close to the mainland and not really influenced by the ocean like the rest of V.I.

The east side of the island from Duncan to Courtenay can get heavy strait effect snow during strong outflow situations. Hasn't happened here in a few years though.

Thank you for the informative post.  Some here could learn from you, I am happy to.

Gfs looking good for Wednesday morning at the moment. Definitely think it’s our best shot and has been for the last few days.

More snow chances Thurs evening into Fri. But at this point it's way too far out to be reliable. Though it does appears the chances are there for most of next week.

Anything is subject to change even Wednesday morning. It’s looking good for now though! Like I said earlier...we get to roll the dice a few times this week we will get a good roll at some point.

Just woke up from a 4 hour nap. I was debating on whether having lunch or dinner Before it. That issue was solved now since it’s 8pm.

Good luck sleeping tonight lol

Considering how poor this winter has been, can't really complain much from the 0z run as it continues to features several chances for snow within 7 days for the Sound. We'll take anything we can at this point. Let's hope it continues to improve regionally.

Up to 33˚F. Starting to get the feeling this may bust here. About half the models are saying cold rain at this point anyhow.

From 31 to 36 here in the last two hours.

Surface temps don’t dictate p-type y’all.

Calculate your wet bulb temp and pull up a sounding.
